Hazel and her ensemble The Harrows have been paying it forward by being Musical Ambassadors around the globe. Each musical experience away from home allows Hazel to bring back part of the world to students and teachers locally.
- Hazel also has been a web presenter for the NAfME speaking on social emotional health globally and how music can help young students overcome adversity.
- As a Musical Ambassador Hazel has taught for the Cairo American College, The American Embassy in Cairo, Music For Young Children Conferences in Ottawa, Ontario and Alberta Canada.
- She has also conducted workshops in Appalachian Music and Dance (Rhythm and Shoes Workshop) for the Orchestra Jovin in Quito Ecuador.
- Hazel performed with Tara Lindhardt and friends at the Happy Kids School in Baktapur, Nepal and the Children’s Arts Center in Kathmandu.
- Their merry band also performed in airports, roadsides and for trekkers in the Annapurna Wilderness Area.
